Recently, as part of my daily devotional, I worked through a six-video series by The Bible Project on the Shema, a famous Jewish prayer based on Deuteronomy 6:4-5.  I more or less pulled this study out of a hat and my expectations weren’t that high. Prior to this year, Deborah had never seen the movie Elf. So, at the prompting of some of our friends and myself, she sat down to watch the Will Ferrell holiday comedy. It's hit or miss with my wife and these types of movies, but this one she found entertaining. But that is not what I wish to write about here. I wish to discuss an issue I have with the portrayal of the human services industry, and Santa's responsibility to that industry and Buddy the elf's welfare. First of all, I have a quick follow up to Wednesday's gameplay video. Anyone who saw me fail to receive a gold star on the final level of Farm Frenzy by 38 seconds will be happy to know that I gave it another shot and easily beat the time by about three minutes. Losing that sheep definitely cost me during my first attempt.
No joke, last night I woke up snoring, even though I was wearing my sleep apnea mask. What's up with that!?!?
