A group has received approval and is currently raising money to erect a statue near the Washington Monument in D.C.. Its purpose is to help promote women's equality. This doesn't seem like a bad idea until you realize the statue that, according to the sculptor, is intended to “combat a culture that increasingly dehumanizes women and sexualizes the female form” is actually a 45-foot tall naked woman.
