Half Air faith articleI can become obsessed. I don't mean like with a movie franchise, celebrity, hobby, or things like that. I mean with tasks. Sometimes, if there is something that needs to be done, needs to be fixed, or that I just can't figure out, I am like a dog with a bone and can't let it go until it's completed to my satisfaction. Within hours of Hurricane Irma passing our home in Central Florida, one of my wife's co-workers texted her an article written by Dan Barker regarding prayer in the light of the recent storms in Texas and Florida. The gist of the article was this: The fact that hurricanes Harvey and Irma hit Texas and Florida despite the multiple prayers services that were held proves that prayer is powerless and is a waste of time. What Is Half Air?

Is the glass half full or half empty? It is the quintessential personality test. If you say the glass is half full, you are an optimist. If you say it is half empty, you are a pessimist. I was always a bit different. I liked to be a smart-aleck and would answer, “Actually, half is water and half is air. The glass is really filled all the way.”
